Join us for Ventana Vista’s First-Ever Family Sweetheart Dance Date: Friday, February 17 Time: 6 pm-8 pm Place: MPR Admission: $1 per person The DJ will be playing music that will pack the dance floor!  Dinner, drinks, cupcakes and flowers will be available for purchase.  Remember this special evening by purchasing a photo package from Sharon Spall Photography.  *This dance is a fun and special way for students to celebrate Valentine's Day with their favorite adult/family member.  It is not a boy/girl dance. Contact Cathie Ashley at cathleenashley18@gmail.com with questions or to purchase tickets and pre-sale items.

BIG NEWS from the Ventana Vista Library! We are honored to announce that Ventana Vista Elementary will be hosting Grace Lin, a NY Times bestselling author and illustrator of picture books and chapter books. Two of her books have been chosen as Newbery Honor books and her newest book is a National Book finalist. You may want to check out her TED Talk, “The Windows and Mirrors of Your Child’s Bookshelf” from January, 2016, available on YouTube. Grace Lin will be visiting our school for an author visit on Friday, March 10, 2017. To add to the excitement, we are taking orders for a limited selection of Grace Lin’s books that she will autograph during her visit. Books will only be sold by preorder and 10% of our total sales will be donated to our Student Council!  For a list and description of Grace Lin's books, click here. Potbelly Dine Out Thank you to everyone who came out to Potbelly last week to support Ventana Vista! Congratulations to all those who won FREE FOOD in the drawings! A BIG Bobcat thank you to Mary McClurkin, Judy Nagle, Lori Lundberg-Leung and Melissa Newman for helping with the drawings that took place every 30 minutes...we could not have done it without your help!
