VENTANA VISTAS NEWSLETTER Happy New Year! Online Registration for the 2017-18 school year begins this Thursday, January 12th. for Ventana Vista boundary residents.  Register for school at this link.  We will send out the link on Thursday via Remind also. All currently enrolled open enrollment families must FIRST apply for "re" open-enrollment. Then, once you receive confirmation of being accepted, then you will register online. Registering early is critical to our program. We offer teachers contracts based on confirmed registrations. Help us keep our awesome teachers and hire early any new ones that we will need. A reminder that CogAt testing (for those 3-5 grade students who were signed up in December) will take place on Wednesday, January 11th, Thursday, January 12th and Wednesday, January 18th promptly at 7:15 AM in Room 105.  Students must be present at all three testing sessions. Congratulations to our Ventana Vista Spelling Bee Winners Ethan H. (5th) and Skyler F. (4th) and alternate Nina R. (4th). They will be competing at the CFSD District Bee on Thursday, January 12th at 4pm at Esperero Canyon Middle School. Thanks to everyone who participated in our Adopt-a-Family Project spearheaded by our counselor, Ms. Faber. We were able to support CFSD families who needed some extra assistance with basic needs during the holidays. You added a ray of sunshine to their holiday season. The Ventana Vista family who received support was brought to tears. Teaching our children about compassion caring and citizenship is important. Skate Party! Grab your disco threads, The DJ will provide the beat! For a groovy time, just bring your skating feet! Thursday, January 19 from 6-8 pm.
